Support Technician (Trainee)

  • Based in Spalding, Lincolnshire, UK
  • 40 hours per week (Plus possible overtime)

Are you passionate about technology?  Have experience and/or hobbies in technical systems (electronics, IT, security, networking)?  This is an exciting opportunity to provide first class support to a diverse range of businesses, from government, defence, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and educational organisations.

You will working in a team, where we will provide training on our systems, products and how to provide support.

Key responsibilities

  • Constantly learning and mastering our products and services to a high technical level
  • Assisting our network of end users and installers with technical support
  • Troubleshooting to identify problems and deliver quick solutions for our customers
  • Coordinate with international members of the technical support team to resolve support cases and improve overall levels of support
  • From time-to-time travel to customer sites for real world exposure to problems and solutions

Core requirements

  • Keen interest/experience with technical systems (electronics, IT, telecoms, security systems) whether through a previous role, a hobby or an active interest
  • Eager to learn and be proactive in finding solutions
  • Work well on your own and as part of a team
  • Be polite and patient, yet outgoing and a strong communicator
  • Experience in providing customer service (Preferred)

You will be joining a growing team of engineers who are specialists in the solutions, software and installation services we provide.  We would like the candidate to be capable of working on their own and to take ownership of servicing equipment and to become an expert in this field, whilst supporting the wider technical team as needed.
