Electronics Repair Technician
- Part-time/Flexible Hours
- Based in Spalding, Lincolnshire, UK
- 8-16 hours per week
We are looking for someone with previous experience with electronics repair to join our technical department on a part-time basis. This position is ideally suited for someone who would like the flexibility of reduced working hours, whilst maintaining a responsible role and being part of the technical team.
Key responsibilities
- Component level repairs for deister manufactured products
- Systematic approach to fault investigation
- Updating internal records with work completed
- Test and quality control over the repair processes
- Researching, analysing and reporting on product issues
- Assisting the wider team with project work
Core Requirements
- Good soldering skills (components) is essential
- Should be able to use traditional electronic test instrumentation eg; oscilloscope, digital multi-meter, frequency counter.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Good hand-eye coordination
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- An interest in electronics and how things work is essential
- Take responsibility for the quality of your work
- Experience in the repair of electronics and/or GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
